Spring is sprung, the grass is riz.
I wonder where the birdies is

written by anonymous and annually chanted by my mom

Spring has arrived. Squirrels are playing tag, robins are constructing nests, green shoots of spring flowers are several inches above ground, and I’ve had my first outdoor fire (and requisite beer). Life is great!

The sunshine ignited my annual 'get things done' energy.

Sunday decluttering resulted in a big Goodwill drop-off. The patio furniture is coming out today. Travel plans for my college reunion are finalized. I'm steadily shortening my (obscenely) long to-do list by one or two tasks daily.

Some items get checked off with satisfaction; others are crossed off without guilt. These are the items that I wrote down when I refresh the list only because I thought they “needed” to be there. When I asked myself “why?” I had to admit there was no longer any good reason.

Do you have tasks like this on your list? Scratch them off and let yourself off the hook. Only you can give yourself the gift of guiltless time to enjoy the season.
